Faux Fur Jacket

A look at the world of faux fur, wood, and more.

The fur faux jacket is in style right now, and the variety of designs, colors, and fits seems to be growing.  From Rachel Zoe and Juicy Couture to other designers like Guess and Mossimo, nearly every major designer has some form of faux fur coat included within their product line.

Finding the right faux fur jacket should be a fun and easy process.  If you’re anything like me though, you’ll probably sit there forever, deliberating over two or three potential choices and stuck as far as making a decision goes.  Let’s try to make the process a little easier by presenting you with a few possibilities as far as faux fur jackets go.

The first coat that we’ll look at is a Juicy Couture faux fur jacket.   There are quite a few of them (they even make a faux for coat for dogs!), but let’s focus on two of them for now.

The Juicy Couture faux fur trimmed quilted puffer coat is the perfect stylish jacket to complement some nice jeans.  This isn’t a predominantly faux fur jacket, but the hood is lined it, and the faux fur collar goes really well with the off white polyester.  The down lining on the inside makes this a coat that’s great for warm weather.  While this isn’t your typical white faux fur jacket (since most of it is polyester), some prefer a more subtle presence of the faux fur, and this one offers a nice amount of it in moderation.  This coat sells for an average price of $398.

Another Juicy Couture faux fur jacket is the faux fur cropped coat.  This is your more traditional faux fur coat as the exterior is made of just that.  This is a shorter jacket though, as it goes just above the navel.  Anything you’re wearing underneath will likely protrude below it, which allows you to make some interesting combinations with it.  Like the quilted puffer cot, this also retails for a price of $398.  Beginning to notice a trend here?

Let’s move on from Juicy Couture to another brand now.  You’ll find some reassurance in the fact that not every faux fur jacket is this expensive, so don’t be put off by the high price tags on the coats we just discussed.

The Diamond faux fur jacket by Arden B. is a perfect example of such a coat.  With a faux fur exterior and a diamond pattern made out of that fur, this takes on a textured look, and emanates a very unique leather jacket.  The fact that the trim waist and sleeves are both fitted makes this a unique faux fur bomber jacket that goes really well with casual attire.  What you’ll like most about this item is the price tag on it.  Priced at $98 per jacket, you could literally buy four of these for the same price as either of the Juicy faux fur jackets.

These are two of many possibilities as far as faux fur coats and jackets go.  Look at as many online retailers as you can, including the websites for department stores, where you’ll find many options.  From there, use one of the free price comparison services to find the best price on that particular jacket.  Most importantly, find something that suits your style.  With so many different makes out there, there should be no shortage of options.  Happy shopping!
